Materials: Pre-existing studio walls, 6 mm MDF interior shell, square-section timber batten, tissue paper, outdoor fairy lights, double-sided A1 screen prints

Description: Shadow 1 is an immersive installation constructed within a pre-existing studio space. The interior shell is built from 6 mm MDF fixed to a square-section timber batten structure, with tissue paper-covered apertures diffusing the warm yellow light of 120 m of outdoor fairy lights.
The installation is formed from approximately 60 double-sided A1 screen prints, creating an environment of writhing slivers of drawing. These printed fragments are brought in and out of existence by the pulsing light, producing a space that feels unstable, alive, and suspended between visibility and disappearance.
